EPP-Pico-OMAP5430 SBC will not go into mass production

Dear Customers,

We would like to thank you one more time for your interest in EPP-Pico-OMAP5430 SBC and to apologize for the long wait on information update.

We are very sorry to inform you that Texas Instruments decided not to qualify OMAP5430 SoC. Serial production of the chip has been postponed several times, but unfortunately the processor will not be produced at all. This decision directly affects production of EPP-Pico-OMAP5430 SBC, although complete design is finished and fully verified. Running board is presented in 11 minutes long demonstration available on the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kftI7k8uFpw

We deeply apologize to the betrayed expectations, and please bear in mind that this decision was out of our control, and we tried to stop it, citing you as customers.

Texas Instruments will continue to produce OMAP5432 processor which is a derivative of OMAP5 family. Unfortunately, IMPT decided not to invest in OMAP5432 based product of its own, but can work together with you on specific solution. For OMAP5432 there is a EVM you can purchase to check its performance (link).

Please note that IMPT will continue developing multi core ARM based boards. In next couple of weeks we will publish plans for new developments on our website.

Best regards,

IMPT team
